When that applies, simply turning up at the door does not replace the prior procedure communicated by the club.

What if I don't know a member?
This is a very common situation for someone visiting Spain. You may find a club, know that it exists and still have no idea how to make first contact.
Some clubs may use member referrals or other forms of prior contact. Others accept new applications through a process they have chosen themselves.

Before starting a request, review the club profile and check whether its published conditions fit what you need.

Request an invitation
If you decide to continue and the club has published availability, choose a date and time and send the invitation request.
Requesting an invitation does not mean you are already a member.
The request starts this part of the process. Admission comes later and remains the club's decision.
Wait for confirmation
Do not travel to the club while your request is still pending.
Once the invitation is confirmed, you will have an agreed date and time and the information you need to prepare for the visit.
Prepare for the visit
Arrive at the agreed time and bring the identification or other requirements communicated by that club.
Requirements can vary, so check the club profile and your confirmation before leaving.
At the club, the admission process continues
When you arrive, the association's own procedure begins. The club may check your details, explain its process and continue the steps it has established for possible admission.
From that point onward, the process continues directly with the association.
